Quick answer: Open Profile > General, scroll to the About me or My Interests card, click its Edit about me / Edit interests button, type your text in the pop-up editor, then click Save and close.
Your About me and My Interests are free-text fields on your public profile. Both live on the same page - Profile > General - as separate cards that you edit one at a time.
Edit your About me
In the left-hand menu, open Profile, then select General.
Scroll to the About me card (person icon).
Click Edit about me. A pop-up editor opens.
Type your text in the box. Use the toolbar at the top to format it: Aa for text size, B bold, I italic, U underline, the eraser icon to clear formatting, and the list icons for a numbered or bulleted list.
Click Save and close.
Edit your My Interests
On the same Profile > General page, keep scrolling past About me to the My Interests card (pen icon, labelled "Tell us about your interests").
Click Edit interests to open the pop-up editor.
Enter your text. The same formatting toolbar is available.
Click Save and close.
"My Interests" vs the "Interests" tags - what is the difference?
Higher up the General page there is a separate Interests card where you select interests from a preset list, shown as tags. Its button is also labelled Edit interests, so the two are easy to confuse.
How to tell them apart:
Interests (near the top, heart icon) - tap tags to select preset interests. These are filterable keywords.
My Interests (lower down, pen icon) - write your own free-text description.
The two are independent fields. Editing one does not change the other, and you can fill in both.
When will my changes show?
Changes save to your dashboard immediately. It can take up to one hour for them to appear on your public profile.
Tip: Each card has a Help articles shortcut next to its Edit button - click it for in-context guidance without leaving the page.
