How to connect your domain to your IVSO page

Written by Riley - Support Lead

Elite subscribers can connect a custom domain name to their IVSO page, replacing the default ivso.me/your-name short URL with their own domain (for example, https://janesmith.com).

Before you start

  • You need an Elite subscription to use a custom domain. If you are on Premium, upgrade first via the Upgrade now button at the bottom of the IVSO settings page.

  • You need to own a domain name. If you do not have one yet, purchase one from a domain registrar. We recommend https://namecheap.com.

Step 1 - Add a CNAME record at your domain registrar

Log in to your domain registrar and go to the DNS settings for your domain. Add a CNAME record pointing to cname.ivso.me:

  • Type: CNAME

  • Host / Name: @ (root domain) or a subdomain of your choice

  • Value / Target: cname.ivso.me

  • TTL: 3600 (or your registrar's default)

Namecheap instructions:

Step 1. Log in to your Namecheap account.

Step 2. Go to Domain List in the left sidebar and click Manage next to your domain.

Step 3. Go to the Advanced DNS tab.

Step 4. Under Host Records, click Add New Record.

Step 5. Choose CNAME Record from the dropdown.

Step 6. Set Host to @ and Value to cname.ivso.me.

Step 7. Click the green checkmark to save.

Optional - redirect www to your root domain:

If you also want www.yourdomain.com to work, add a URL Redirect Record in the same Host Records section:

  • Host: www

  • Value: http://yourdomain.com (your root domain)

  • Redirect type: Permanent (301)

DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate, though they often update much sooner.

Step 2 - Enter your domain on the IVSO settings page

Step 1. In the left sidebar, under Marketing tools, click IVSO.

Step 2. Scroll down to the Connect your domain section.

Step 3. In the Custom Domain field, enter your domain name (for example, janesmith.com). The https:// prefix is already shown - enter only the domain portion.

Step 4. Click Connect domain.

Step 3 - Verify the connection

Once your DNS has propagated and you have clicked Connect domain, visit your domain in a browser to confirm it loads your IVSO page. If it does not load yet, wait a few hours and try again - DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours.

If you run into issues, check your domain registrar's support documentation or contact their support team directly.
